Welcome to Amherst-Pelham REGIONAL MIDDLE SCHOOL

ARMS Statement:

Amherst Regional Middle School will maximize the academic growth of every child. To achieve this outcome, we must also attend to the unique cognitive, social, emotional, and physical needs of young adolescents. 

Who We Are:

Amherst Regional Middle School is a 7th and 8th grade school serving students from the towns of Amherst, Pelham, Leverett and Shutesbury.  The school has approximately 480 students, organized into five different teams. Our school is grounded in middle school philosophy.

What's Happening

As part of the high school registration process, 8th Grade Team teachers will be holding parent conferences during the school day on the following dates:

Team Norwottuck – March 17, March 20, March 23, March 24

Team M&M – March 16, March 17, March 19, March 20

Team Titan – March 16, March 17, March 19, March 20

Amherst Regional High School - 8th Grade Family Curriculum Night

 Who:     Families of Incoming ARHS 9th Graders
When:    Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 7:00-8:45 p.m.
Where:   Amherst Regional High School

ARHS administrators and department chairs will provide an overview of the academic program and discuss course offerings for the 2015-2016 school year. In addition, you can obtain information about:  Athletics;Special Education Services;Guidance and Student Support Services; How to enroll at ARHS.  If you have any questions, please contact Michaela Tarr at (413) 362-1703.

Seventh grade students will receive course registration information including the Program of Studies 2015-2016 and the Eighth Grade Registration Form in advisory on Monday, March 9.  Eighth Grade Course Registration Forms are due back to the advisor by Monday, March 16.  Thank you.



Sixth grade students have received course registration packets which include the Program of Studies 2015-2016, an invitation to the Parent/Guardian Orientation(English, Spanish) and 7th Grade Course Registration Form (English, Spanish).  Please feel free to contact the middle school if you have any questions.

Thanks to the Amherst Regional Middle School PGO, there is a brand new opportunity to honor the amazing educators who work at Amherst Regional Middle School and who shape the lives of our children during these special years.   The ARMS Educator Award will honor an educator who embodies the ARMS core values and demonstrates their commitment to supporting their colleagues, their students, and their community.   Nominations can be made by parents, by other teachers or staff, and by students. Click here for information about the award and to submit your choice for the award. The deadline for nominations is April 15th.

PGO Athletic Equipment Swap - All Families

The PGOs are organizing an Athletic Equipment Swap for ALL families.  Donated (new or gently used) equipment is Free for student athletes in the Amherst-Pelham District for Grades PreK-12.  Please see the flyer and PSA link.
