Mission & Philosophy

Amherst Regional Middle School is a 7th and 8th-grade school serving students from the towns of Amherst, Pelham, Leverett, and Shutesbury. We are a culturally rich, linguistically diverse, socially responsible community. Our school has approximately 440 students, organized into four different teams. Our school is grounded in middle school philosophy, which emphasizes the unique needs and learning opportunities of early adolescence to approach our education with open hearts, open minds, and open ARMS.
