When a student is absent, parents and guardians are encouraged to call 413-362-1984 to report the absence. Leaving a message at this voicemail eliminates the need to write an excuse note for the absence. IMPORTANT: phone calls are not accepted after the day of the absence. Excuse notes are not accepted after 48 hours from the student’s return to school.
For more detailed information about attendance procedures, see the Attendance page.
Students may be paged to come to the front office to pick up messages and deliveries.
If you wish to deliver an item (such as money, keys, a lunch, or an assignment) that your child has forgotten to bring to school, please drop it off at the main office.
Parents/Guardians of Amherst Regional High School Students are able to request access to the Parent Portal in PowerSchool. This allows access to view attendance records, grades, assignments and other information about the student. To set up a parent account, you must obtain from the school a starter username and password for each student. You will then be able to create a single sign-on account and attach multiple student accounts to it. The school requires the parent/guardian to appear in person to receive the starter information.
The High School Main Office issues work permits to students under the age of eighteen who have been offered employment. Once applications are completed, a permit can be issued in a few minutes. Applications are available in the office or via this link. The student must appear in person for the application to be processed.
